RAFFLES LONDON AT THE OWO
A magnificent Grade II* Edwardian landmark, originally designed by British architect William Young, the former Old War Office (OWO) in Whitehall first opened in 1906 as Britain’s War Office. The historic building was once home to influential figures and intelligence leaders, including Lord Haldane and Winston Churchill, making it one of London’s most significant heritage properties.
In summer 2023, this iconic site reopened as The OWO, welcoming the flagship Raffles London and redefining historic luxury hospitality in the heart of the city.
JA Photography was honored to be part of this landmark transformation, completing an intensive 10‑day interior photography project documenting the restored architectural grandeur and refined luxury of this exceptional property.
Working closely with the hotel’s Sales and Marketing teams, the project successfully navigated the complexities of an active development site to deliver a polished and cohesive luxury hospitality and architectural photography gallery. This collaboration represents a significant milestone for JA Photography, contributing to the visual legacy of one of London’s most prestigious luxury hotel openings.
